Welcome to Walter-ego. By interacting with Walter's AI alter-ego or requesting project scopes and quotes, you agree to these terms:

1. Nature of the Service

Walter-ego is an artificial intelligence persona modeled on Walter Danilo Galante's software engineering and architectural experience. Any proposals, code estimations, or architectural blueprints generated by the AI are for scoping purposes and require explicit review/approval by the real Walter before execution.

2. Quotes and Estimates

All pricing estimates, work breakdowns, and timeline assessments provided by Walter-ego represent initial scopes. They are non-binding until explicitly approved by the user and confirmed by Walter Danilo Galante via a finalized agreement.

3. Intellectual Property

Any code and deliverables produced during a contracted project will be owned according to the terms set forth in the specific approved work agreement. Materials on this website are owned by Walter Danilo Galante.

4. Limitation of Liability

The AI service is provided "as is". While Walter-ego strives for accurate planning and generation, we are not liable for any project decisions or execution errors made without human validation from the real Walter.

To provide scoping and contracting functionality, we collect the following details:

• Authentication details (name, email address) provided via third-party OAuth providers (e.g. Google, GitHub).
• Chat transcripts, specifications, and files attached during your conversation with Walter-ego.
• Git repository connection metadata (if authorized for code updates).

2. How We Use Information

Your details are used solely to generate estimates, manage project quotes, and carry out autonomous engineering tasks on your behalf. We do not sell or monetize your data.

3. Third-Party Integrations & Confidentiality

Chat interactions and any shared data are processed using third-party artificial intelligence and LLM services (e.g. through OpenRouter or other API providers). By using the service, you acknowledge that your inputs, files, and transcripts are transmitted to these third-party providers for processing. Consequently, we cannot guarantee zero-data-retention or that data will not be used for model training by upstream providers. There is no guarantee of confidentiality for any data shared with Walter-ego, and you should avoid sharing sensitive, proprietary, or confidential information.

We secure your sessions using modern encryption standards. Session persistence is managed through secure HTTP-only cookies.
